Everything Golf: Lots of Cold Weather and Rain The Past Few Days!!!

As many of you know, we have received plenty of rain the last few days. This has made for some pretty wet areas throughout the course. With the extended forecast calling for more cold weather and rain I wanted to let you know that we will not be mowing collars around greens, tee boxes, and fairways until the weather cooperates. We will be mowing greens as often as possible. This is not a bad thing though. Over the next few days we will be slit seeding the collars and tee boxes as well as putting down a granular fertilizer. With doing this, it is good to eliminate as much traffic on these areas as possible. Have patience with the course as it is still very early in the year and what we are doing now will provide better results for the rest of the golf season.
