What's going on?

Hello everyone!  As many of you know, my name is Andy Olson and I have been the course superintendent at Mayville Golf Club for the past two seasons. With continued education, I have decided it would be fun to give everyone my perspective of what it's like to manage a golf course.  I will be giving you, the golfer, a general idea of what we do on the course and why we do it.  Some of the topics I will be covering include: Mowing of greens, tees, fairways and rough; Irrigation; Aerification; Pesticide application and fertilization; Maintenance of all equipment; Observing weather patterns; Rules of Golf; Etc.  These are just a few things that I will focus on.  My intention is to give you a better understanding of my job and have some fun with this as well.  Stay posted for more information...
